Project Report 2004 to 2006
Our First Project
Car Park on Mill Lane - shrubs removed to give more spaces, car parking spaces clearly marked. Funding was obtained for the well used seat that is near the car park entrance.
Project Number Two
Ryhill Pocket Park - Ryhill Parish Council gave us permission to use an area in the park to plant wild flowers, trees, and bulbs. We have cleared the land and seeded it, planted wild flowers, twenty trees, a thousand each of daffodils, snowdrops, and crocuses. We received funding for this from BTCV.
Project Number Three
The Village Entrance Signs - this has taken a long time but well worth the effort. Funding has come from ourselves (RCP), Ryhill Parish Council, and a Wakefield MDC Community Chest Grant. These impressive stone signs have been well received by villagers.
1- Traffic calming in the village centre including red tarmac and 20 MPH signs to make Ryhill a safer place.
2 - Create a garden near the "Happy Shopper" and have planters containing bedding plants and bulbs around the village.
We are here to listen to your views about the village and have installed a Bravenet Guest Book to receive your comments.
Your opinions and suggestions are vital to the work of the Partnership. The Guest Book is easy to use, so click below and get it touch with us!
